The Sierningtal-Flatzer Wand Nature Park has two main entrances.
The Sieding-Stixenstein Nature Park Centre, with the nature park hut and the goat enclosure, and the hiking rest area at the “Waldbauern” in Flatz.
Nature Park Hut, playground and goat enclosure
The area stretching from Sieding Church to the MA49 municipal barn in Vienna has been leased by the City of Vienna for the construction of a nature park centre. The facilities, such as the playground, seating areas, the small animal enclosure with the pygmy goats and the duck pond, are currently being refurbished and redesigned.
The nature park hut is run by the D’Steinfelder Mountaineering Guild.
The toilet at the nature park hut is open from the beginning of May until the end of October. Please use water sparingly and leave the toilet facilities clean and tidy. Thank you very much!
Coming from Ternitz, you will find car parks on the left-hand side along Puchberger Straße immediately after entering the village of Sieding.
A break for walkers at the “Waldbauer”
Inside the “Wandersrast” (shelter) there are information boards with interesting facts about the nature park.
Some people may still be familiar with the spot as a barbecue area. However, for some time now, due to the increasingly long dry spells, lighting fires has been strictly prohibited throughout the entire nature park area. See also the ‘Neunkirchen District Administration’s Forest Fire Regulations’.
Car park by the nature park sign, directly in front of the “Waldbauer” square farmstead. Please ensure you do not block any private driveways or access roads to agricultural land!
