Nature Park Entrance

The Sierningtal-Flatzer Wand Nature Park has two main entrances.

The Sieding-Stixenstein Nature Park Centre, with the nature park hut and the goat enclosure, and the hiking rest area at the “Waldbauern” in Flatz.

Sieding-Stixenstein Nature Park Centre

The area stretching from Sieding Church to the MA49 municipal barn has been leased by the City of Vienna for the construction of a nature park centre. Facilities such as the playground, seating areas, the small animal enclosure with the pygmy goats and the duck pond are currently being renovated and redesigned.
The nature park hut is run by the D’Steinfelder Mountaineering Guild.

The toilet at the nature park hut is open from the beginning of April to the end of October. Please use water sparingly and leave the toilet facilities clean and tidy. Thank you very much!

Coming from Ternitz, you will find parking spaces immediately after entering Sieding, on the left-hand side along Puchberger Straße.

Flatz Nature Park Entrance

Hikers’ Rest Area
at the “Waldbauer” The “Hikers’ Rest Area” (shelter) features information boards with interesting facts about the nature park.
Some may still recognise the spot as a barbecue area. However, due to increasingly prolonged dry spells, lighting fires has been strictly prohibited throughout the entire nature park for some time now. See also the “Neunkirchen District Forest Fire Regulations”.
Car park by the nature park sign, directly in front of the “Waldbauer” farmstead. Please ensure you do not block any driveways or access roads to agricultural land!
